Bayard
Since 1910, Maison Bayard has cultivated a distinctive and highly specialized expertise in the Santerre region of Picardy. Led by the dynamic farmers Françoise and Bertrand Bayard, the brand boasts a heritage of rearing Hampshire sheep and cultivating top-quality sugar beet, cereals, and potatoes. Pioneering and always seeking new markets, Maison Bayard expanded its reach in 1997 by launching Bayard Distribution, collaborating with thirty growers to deliver high-quality, flavorful potatoes. This venture established them as esteemed potato experts. Their values encompass preserving traditional family techniques while forging a unique potato vision both nationally and internationally.
In 2008, Adèle, a marketing graduate specializing in Rural Law and Agricultural Economy, joined the family business, followed by Florent, former Communications Director for the town of Enghien, in 2017. Together, they lead with determination and enthusiasm, emphasizing human connection within their close-knit family. Modern and efficient, Maison Bayard employs 29 individuals across its offices, farm, and packhouse. With upgraded facilities in 2007, including a state-of-the-art packhouse, they can store up to 8,000 tons of potatoes in optimal conditions. Utilizing computerized management systems and optical sizing technology, every potato is meticulously tracked from field to store, ensuring quality and consistency for customers worldwide.
