Grouper is a member of the serranidae family which also includes Sea Bass, Grouper is wild-caught and can be found in the deep seawater. Every Grouper begins its life as a female before turning into a male, after reaching a certain age and size. It is usually either green or brown in colour. It is a lean and large fish with a big mouth. Grouper is a moist fish with a distinctive very mild flavour, one which is light yet with a firm texture, sweet tasting and has large flakes.
