Cuban chocolate has flavors of dried fruit, caramel and even blond tobacco with a very well-balanced bitterness. Cuba, and more specifically the Baracoa region, is located at the eastern end of the island. The Baracoa area, which overlooks the mountain range and is relatively isolated from the rest of the island, has preserved very old Trinitario cultures, giving the cocoa beans a certain character.
